Free film screening of socially- and politically-themed art videos from the European Union.

Designed to introduce American audiences to the latest European video art and artists, the cultural program of the Council of the European Union recently conducted a juried competition throughout the EU. Selected videos will be screened at the American University Museum, Phillips Collection (June 10, at 6:30 p.m.), and Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery (Saturday, June 12, at 2 p.m.). The American University Museum film screenings focus on social and political video art; all screenings are free and open to the public.
