Version 2020 9 heures 17 mn Pascal Lièvre a durant ces dernières années construit un projet de recherche sur les féminismes à travers le monde. La vidéo Rêver l’obscur est l’une des oeuvres produites à partir de ces recherches. L’artiste tente une fois encore de traduire plastiquement des corpus théoriques et/ou activistes comme il le fait depuis de nombreuses années, en convoquant ici la question de la visibilité et de l’invisibilité des féminismes à travers l’histoire. Rêver l’obscur a été présentée comme une oeuvre vidéo évolutive prenant acte à chaque étape des nouvelles découvertes. En 2016 Pascal Lièvre présente une première version avec cent noms de femmes féministes theoriciennes et activistes nées au XXème siècle, sous forme d’installation à l’Espace Croisé à Roubaix. Le corpus s’est ensuite élargi aux hommes et femmes cisgenres transgenres dans 94 pays différents. Pascal Lièvre has these last years built a research project on feminisms around the world. From this research he creates the video the Dreaming the Dark . The artist once again attempts to translate theoretical and / or activist corpora plastically as he has done for many years, by invoking here the question of the visibility and invisibility of feminisms throughout his(er)tory. Dreaming the dark was presented as an evolving video work taking note of each new discovery. In 2016 Pascal Lièvre presented a first version with a hundred names of female theoretician feminists and activists born in the 20th century, in the form of an installation at the Espace Croisé in Roubaix.
