Pascal Lièvre sur une invitation de Jean-Christophe Arcos réalise une vidéo lors de la soirée queer Flash Cocotte le 11 Septembre 2011 à l’espace Pierre Cardin à Paris. Il propose de faire dire face caméra à celleux qui sont là et qui le désirent quelques mots d’un texte extrait de La Pensée Straight de Monique Wittig. Malgré les contraintes évidentes de son et de lumière il semblait intéressant pour l’artiste de faire prononcer dans ce lieu festif ces mots écrits pour la première fois en 1982 sous le titre The category of sex et repris plus tard dans The Straight Mind And Other Essays.

The curator Jean-Christophe Arcos invites Pascal Lièvre to make a video in the Flash Cocotte party (a queer evening) on September 11, 2011 at Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris. The artist proposes to tell facing camera for those who are here and who want to perform a few words of the text from The Straight mind written by Monique Wittig. Despite the obvious constraints of sound and light it seemed interesting for the artist in this festive and queer place that these words have been declaimed by this new generation of people most born after the parution of the text. The text was written in 1982 under the title The category of sex and resumed later in The Straight Mind And Other Essays.
